ADHD & Sensory Processing Disorder
Please note that Dr. Debby Hamilton has closed her practice.
ADHD or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is increasingly common in our country. Standard medical treatment usually consists of prescription medications that carry the risk of many side effects and are not always effective. Luckily many biomedical treatments are available that can help. These treatments are safe, reduce the ADHD symptoms and improve the general health of the child.
Sensory processing disorder is when a child interprets sensory information from the environment differently which leads to problems with taste, touch, sound, vision, and movement. These sensory issues can cause havoc in everyday life and are common in children with ADHD and autism. The biomedical approach helps reduce sensory issues.
|Our daughter, now 5, has been seeing Dr. Debby since she was 14 months old. We can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. Debby, she has been a true blessing to us. Our daughter had severe eczema and was on a very limited diet. After our first appointment with Dr. Debby, we felt very comfortable and felt hopeful for our daughter's health. Our daughter has improved dramatically, and her diet now includes many more foods than before. |
